In this interactive session, participants will be actively engaged in whole-brain body movements and participate in several higher-order thinking skill strategies. When immediately applied in the adult education classroom, research indicates these activities will increase the student's ability to use the prefrontal cortex or executive functioning area of the brain. Executive function relates to abilities in working toward a defined goal, prediction of outcomes, decision-making, and expectations based on actions. Training session is limited to instructors from the El Paso Area Cooperative Program (EPISD). |

Participants will write reflections about their staff development and training experiences and submit them for peer review within the group of attendees. Once the reflections are reviewed, they will be posted into CredITS for scoring. The purpose of this session is to assist and encourage teachers to dedicate uninterrupted time in their efforts to complete the requirements for the Credential. |
