CALPRO - The Califorinia Adult Literacy Professional Development Project is the result of a multi-year contract awarded to the American Institutes for Research (AIR) to provide quality professional development and learning experiences to personnel working in California's adult education and literacy delivery system.
English Language Fellow Program - The English Language (EL) Fellow Program promotes English language learning around the world and fosters mutual understanding between the people of the United States and those of other countries. It places talented, highly qualified U.S. educators with Master’s degrees with a focus in TEFL/TESL or Applied Linguistics in all regions of the world.
Laurel Pollard, Independent Consultant - Laurel Pollard is a widely known and highly respected international teacher educator. She works with teachers in a wide variety of settings, including public schools, adult education, English as a Second Language, English as a Foreign Language, literacy, and teaching foreign languages in English-speaking countries.
The Study Place - The Study Place is a Web-based authoring tool that offers adult educators a simple way to create and deliver online learning activities to their adult learners.
Texas Education Agency - TEA is the administrative unit for primary and secondary public education. Under the leadership of the commissioner of education, the TEA:

manages the textbook adoption process;

oversees development of the statewide curriculum;

administers the statewide assessment program;
-
administers a data collection system on public school students, staff, and finances;

rates school districts under the statewide accountability system;

operates research and information programs;

monitors for compliance with federal guidelines; and
-
serves as a fiscal agent for the distribution of state and federal funds.
Texas LEARNS - Under an agreement with Texas Education Agency (TEA) Texas LEARNS, assumed operational functions of the TEA Adult and Community Education Division effective August 1, 2003. Texas LEARNS now provides nondiscretionary grant management functions, program assistance and other statewide support services to Texas Adult Education and Family Literacy Providers. TEA Division of Grants Administration continues to be responsible for all discretionary, policy, and monitoring functions. This realignment was designed to maximize the resources available to support the respective functions of the adult and community education program.
Texas Center for the Advancement of Literacy and Learning (TCALL) - TCALL was created in 1988 by the Board of Regents at Texas A&M University with the purpose of helping to reduce the incidence of adult illiteracy in Texas. As your state literacy resource center, our mission has evolved into responding to the needs of those who provide literacy services to Texas’ adult literacy and family literacy learners. Our mission is being accomplished through a combination of externally-funded projects and internally planned activities.
Upper Rio Grande @ Work - The Upper Rio Grande workforce system is a regional network of business, education, labor, community, and governmental organizations serving employers, workers and students in the Brewster, Culberson, El Paso, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties. Their mission is to provide employers with qualified (skilled) workers and job opportunities for workers through a strong network of community partnerships and solid contracting.
